Robertson Quay
Robertson Quay is the quieter section of the popular quay area of Singapore. It occupies 50 hectares of the Singapore River, starting at 1.5 kilometres from the river mouth up to Kim Seng Bridge. This part of town was once a busy wharf district, but is now a popular commercial, residential and hotel accommodation area. Robertson Quay also boasts a wide range of drinking and dining establishments. The commercial area of Robertson Walk is home to many cafes, bars and restaurants.
After enjoying a riverside lunch or dinner, head to the Alkaff Bridge at the end of Nanson Road. The vibrantly painted foot crossing was constructed in 1997 as a way to connect the two river banks. Robertson Quay may be the shy, reserved cousin of Clarke Quay and Boat Quay, but the quiet types often have lots of great stuff to share.
