Champs-Élysées
With the Arc de Triomphe and Place de la Concorde on either end, Champs-Elysees is a thriving neighbourhood infused with history, luxury, and the aromas of cappuccinos and the finest perfume. The Grand Palais and the Petit Palais, the “Big Palace” and “Small Palace“, are two excellent museums located just next to the Champs Elysées and you won’t regret paying either one of them a visit just to see their beautiful Beaux-Arts architecture! Built in 1900 for the Universal Exhibition, The Grand Palais houses temporary exhibitions as well as a science museum, the “Palais de la Découverte“. The Petit Palais, located across the street, features paintings, drawings and artefacts. Do not miss out on visiting the Place de la Concorde, it is where King Louis XVI was executed during the French revolution and is a truly significant historical landmark.
